Wind Chime Summer A Wind Chime Novel Book 3 eBook Sophie Moss

Izzy is a decorated veteran who has been sent to Heron Island to participate in a rehabilitation program in order to avoid prison. She hides some dark secrets and has closed herself off from others.

Ryan has returned to Heron Island after making a name for himself in academic circles. He plans to help the local environment through the development of an oyster farm and environmental centre that temporarily hires those completing the rehabilitation program.

This is a story of healing and self discovery. I can't put into words how beautifully written this book is. It is truly lyrical, and I felt like I was there - as though I could hear the wind chimes and see the moon shining over the bay with the gentle breeze in my hair.

The characters are wonderful, the location stunning, and the writing appeared effortless, as I was absolutely engrossed in the story. This writer is one of my favourites because of the way her writing makes me feel, and this book reinforced that even further.

Wind Chime Summer A Wind Chime Novel Book 3 eBook Sophie Moss Reviews

I have loved every book in this series but I think I loved this book the most. The characters were delightful, the writing was excellent, the editing was great, and the storyline was wonderful. The story flowed from the first page to the last. I highly recommend this clean series.
You'll fall in love with Izzy! This book really got to me.
I felt like I was going through it myself. You'll love 💘 this story. I couldn't put it down.
Izzy started out shutting everybody and everything out. It takes awhile but ...
I don't want to drop any spoilers, so I'll just say it's a keeper!☺ Sophie Moss was a new author for me. I found her as a bookbub suggested read! I'm starting the Selkie series next.
Once I started reading Wind Chime Summer, it was tough to put it down!!! Having read the first 2 in the series, I was familiar with the original characters. Izzy Rivera is a wonderful addition to the cast! Her story is powerful, pertinent, and timely! This book, like the first 2, is beautifully written. It captures the physical beauty of the setting, a village on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Moss's writing puts the reader right there. The sense of 'place' that is conveyed is exceptional. The book gives the reader insight into important issues like the restoration/preservation of the Chesapeake Bay and the challenges faced by veterans dealing with traumatic experiences, It is clear that Moss has done her homework on these issues and she shares what she learned with the reader. Her writing evoked strong emotional reactions as I read. There is enough mystery in the story to keep the reader wondering about what is going to happen next. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable, informative reading experience! I am looking forward to reading Wind Chime Cottage, the next book in the series.
I have read all three of the Wind Chime books and this is the best yet. I'm very much looking forward to the next in the series. Ms Moss has dealt with returning vet issues with reality, sensitivity and honesty. I'm not going to tell you what the book is about, you have already read the description above and I HATE spoilers! Just read it and be prepared to love Izzy and Ryan and the others involved. You won't be sorry, but you probably won't be able to put it down until you finish it. Bravo to Sophie Moss.
I have really enjoyed this series. Wind Chime Summer is about the veterans program that Will and Colin (from books one and two) started to help veterans readjust to civilian life. Their friend, Ryan, has agreed to hire some of the veterans to help with his non profit oyster farm in the Chesapeake Bay. One of the veterans, Izzy, is a very troubled woman and is holding in a terrible secret about what happened to her. It takes Ryan, and the whole community of Heron Island to help her heal and bring to justice the man that hurt her and others. All books in this series are basically stand alone, but reading all three is best. Highly recommend.
This is a wonderful book and it is the 3rd book in the Wind Chime series. Sophie Moss does not disappoint with the continuation of this series with the story of a female army vet overcoming and dealing with the reality of her demons. I liked that the author touched on the story of a female vet, most books only deal with the male aspects of coming home from war and dealing with PSTD's not female soldiers. Could not put this book down! Each book in this series is better then the last.
So much more than a love story! A great book. Izzy suffers from PTSD from her time in the military, but not from what she saw or experienced in a war zone. Her trauma came at the hands of a superior officer, but left a mark that was deep. Ryan has returned to Heron Island to do his part to help save the oyster harvest in the Chesapeake Bay. Together they feel a chemistry that can't be denied, but there are obstacles. Izzy is on the island as part of a program to help veterans heal, and she is assigned to work with Ryan on his oyster farm. Ryan, as one of the people running the veteran program, knows that it is hands-off for a woman working for him. The book tells their story of developing love, Izzy's healing through not only the veteran's program but also in helping bring her assailant to justice, and the workings of the fishermen who are working to revitalize the Chesapeake Bay. Great story! Loved revisiting Heron Island and the people I had come to know from the first two books (although this could be read as a stand-alone). Highly recommend!
